Man of La Mancha
Born in the political theatre movement of the 1960’s, “La Mancha” is a play-within-a-play where Cervantes, imprisoned by The Inquisition, faces trial by his fellow prisoners. In his defense, he engages his prosecutors in weaving the tale of his errant knight, Don Quixote de La Mancha, determined to bring back the age of chivalry to a darkening world. Son Jarocho Festival
Brava presents the 6th Annual San Francisco Son Jarocho Festival. Explore the folkloric music style of Veracruz during a week-long festival of live music, community fandango, workshops with master artists, and youth activities. In her 12th and final solo play Latin Standards Marga Gomez performs the loving, funny and true story of perseverance and creative addiction passed down from immigrant father to lesbian daughter.
